Project #1

My project for this week is Halloween bags. The boys want them made with different Halloween fabrics, so I'm going to give it a try and see how it comes out. I'll be doing the top row in different squares, then most of the bag in the Halloween print that they picked. I will post pictures when they are complete.

52 Projects

I have figured out what the main theme of my blog is going to be- 52 Projects in a year. The objective is going to be to post about 1 project a week. Each week I will finish 1 project and post about it. Some weeks may contain more than 1 project hopefully. This will be a great plan for me to force myself to finish up some wips. Most of my projects will be some type of craft; Mostly sewing more than likely. If I complete more than 1 of something it will still be classified as 1 completed project, with the exception of quilts since they require so much work.

I would love to get some new ideas on simple projects I can do, or kid friendly recipes. As a stay at home mom I  feel that it's important for me to keep up  with a hobby. It gives me some "me time" yet I can still be right here if my children need something. That is what makes sewing so rewarding for me. I would also love ideas for Christmas presents that I can make for my family. I would really love ideas that come from stash busting so that I  do not have to spend too much money. I have quite a large fabric stash, so I'm pretty good to go on that. It would be great if you have any projects that you would like to share with me, or you could direct me to any sites that have some fun projects.

The Blogging World

I'm not sure what all I'll be posting about, but I'm happy to now be apart of the blogging world. I figure I may find some great creative blogs in my ventures.
